Scope note
Photographs in which negative and positive values have been reversed in some areas, usually as a result of a long exposure. For example, a bright street lamp at night appears as a black spot rather than a bright spot. Includes negatives and prints that exhibit the Sabattier effect caused by exposure to light during darkroom development.
